ACRYLICS.

For large scale works, particularly with more texture, I like to use acrylics. Typically I will use acrylic for a freer style of stroke, rather than the smooth realism you will find in my oil paintings. For pieces with bolder colours, I also will generally opt for acrylics.

As you can see from my Moon Landing painting, the acrylic allows for more of a 3D texturized effect, which is great for decorative wall art.

I also used acrylics for the very special Album Collection commission, which I designed originally on ProCreate, and reproduced as a painting. Due to the amount of white highlighting in this piece, I need to use a fast drying paint in order to work on multiple layers – and this is something acrylics are great for.
